Fabricom sa/nv is founded as an SME, focusing almost entirely on electrical installations. |

The diversification, to include the manufacture and installation of pipelines, increased the growth of Fabricom. |
1956 – The high-tension market opens when Fabricom re-acquires overhead line pylon manufacturer La Construction Soudée.
1956-1959 – Fabricom actively contributes to works on BR2, the nuclear reactor of the Belgian Nuclear Research Center in Mol.

Several Fabricom entities make vital contributions to the development of the ’58 World Exposition grounds in Brussels. |

Fabricom starts work on Belgium’s first nuclear plants in Doel and Tihange |
1976 – With the construction of an incineration plant in Luxembourg, Fabricom sets its first steps in this industry. Fabricom also signs several nuclear contracts.

1980
By delivering eight modules for the gas terminal in Kårstø (Norway), Fabricom confirms its reputation as a technical expert for oil & gas related markets. |
1982 – Fabricom begins to diversify into upcoming technologies: production automation, networks, glass fiber, composite materials and security installations.
1987 – The European markets are about to open up. The Fabricom Group is established and expands across Europe through a number of strategic acquisitions.
2000 – A series of organizational and operational developments illustrate the growth of Fabricom within the SUEZ Group.
2002 – Fabricom acquires Dutch sector peer GTI and, as Fabricom GTI, gains a better geographic spread of its activities in Belgium.
2005 – The SUEZ Group creates a new branch: SUEZ Energy Services. In Belgium this branch brings together AXIMA Contracting, AXIMA Services and Fabricom GTI.

Fabricom GTI participates in high-visibility projects, such as a bridge over the River Scheldt in Temse, the new Antwerp justice building and the ‘unlocking’ of Brussels Airport. |

Under the competency patronage program of GDF SUEZ, Fabricom contributes to the construction of a new museum that is to exhibit the major works of Belgium’s famous surrealist painter, René Magritte. |
2011 - Fabricom delivers two offshore substations for the London Array project, consisting of 175 turbines each with a 3.6 MW output. It will be world’s largest offshore wind farm when completed.
2012 - GDF SUEZ E&P Norge awards Fabricom an important long-term contract for modification services for the Gjøa platform in Norway.
